Get your ventilation unit ready for the heating season – yourself

Maintaining your ventilation unit involves more than just replacing the filters. Over time, dust and dirt can also accumulate on the heat recovery exchanger and inside the unit.

1. Turn off the power Always disconnect the power before starting maintenance.

2. Replace the filters Remove the old filters and install the new FILTERPAK filters included in the kit according to the ventilation unit manufacturer’s instructions.

3. Remove loose dirt Vacuum and brush away visible dust and loose debris. The different brushes included in the Puhtis® Starter Cleaning Kit make it easier to reach narrow and difficult areas.

4. Clean the heat recovery exchanger Remove the washable heat recovery exchanger according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Use Puhtis® for cleaning and rinse carefully with clean water, following the appliance manufacturer’s maintenance instructions.

5. Clean inside the unit Vacuum the inside of the unit and clean suitable wipeable surfaces. Avoid electrical components and any parts that the manufacturer does not permit to become wet.

6. Reassemble and restart Allow washed components to dry when necessary, reinstall them according to the manufacturer’s instructions and restart the unit.

Clean filters help maintain the ventilation system’s intended airflow and filtration performance. The appropriate replacement interval depends on operating conditions and local air quality, so check the filters regularly and follow Enervent’s maintenance instructions.

Products are delivered within Finland to the address provided by the customer. The standard delivery time is 3–7 business days, unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Safe Use: Always switch off and disconnect the ventilation unit from the power supply before cleaning. Follow the ventilation unit manufacturer’s cleaning and maintenance instructions.

Skin Protection: Wear suitable protective gloves when using the cleaning product. Avoid unnecessary skin contact.

Eye Protection: Avoid contact with eyes. Wear suitable eye protection when there is a risk of splashing.

Cleaning: Only clean components and surfaces that the appliance manufacturer permits to be cleaned or washed. Keep water and cleaning solution away from electrical components.

Wastewater & Packaging: Small amounts of wastewater from normal cleaning can be disposed of via the sewer. Dispose of empty packaging according to local waste management regulations.
